The Student’s Union of Bits Pilani, Hyderabad Campus invites you to ‘Pearl 2012’, the annual cultural festival of. This fun filled event will last three days and promises to hold much in store!
The theme for this edition of the fest is 8 bit gaming. Take a trip down memory lane and relive those beloved moments of your childhood this Pearl as your favourite characters from yesteryear come back to life.
Pearl in its entirety is sure to stir up your spirits and whip up your excitement. This year, the addition of technical events to the already existing cultural ones has served to make ‘Pearl’ bigger and better than ever before .From paper presentations to cool technical competitions, from deejay wars to mock murder mysteries, from filmography workshops to foreign exchange games, ‘Pearl 2012’ has it all! With a host of events across the spectrum of science, engineering, economics, music, dance, drama and literature, Pearl ‘12 has enough to keep everyone interested. You can come to display your technical prowess or your cultural skills, or to simply have a good time. ‘Pearl 2012’ will not disappoint!

DAY 0(16 Feb 2012):
The fest will kick off with an inauguration ceremony at 7.00 pm on the Main Stage of the campus. This will be followed by a classical music night.
DAY 1(17 Feb 2012):
Starts at 10 am with a host of exciting events taking place till 11pm.These include workshops, talks and competitions organised by various clubs and departments of our campus. A special programme by Benny Dayal, the famous singer will be the headline event of the day. This will be followed by prom night.
DAY 2(18 Feb 2012):
The second day kicks off with load of events on the schedule. These include paper presentations, workshops and fun filled competitions. The headline event for the day would be a performance by Belgian band Thurisaz in the evening.
DAY 3(19 Feb 2012):
The final day will be witness to the finals of quite a few competitions and paper presentations, in addition to the glamorous fashion show, Glitterati. A scintillating performance by the duo of David Deejay-Ela Rose is scheduled after Glitterati, so ensure you don’t miss the fun!

Pearl, is the Annual Cultural Festival of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.
Pearl is back and how! Theme-specific and signature events of the various clubs and departments are all set to enthral and entertain you for 72 hours, non-stop. Whether it's the immensely popular Til' Deaf Do We Part or the crowd's favourite, Glitterati, Pearl 2012 is all set to break records, reach new heights and ensure that you have the time of your life. As a teaser and precursor, there are a number of online quizzes and writing events lined up for the months of January and February.
To amuse the engineer and scientist in you (without the geeky gamers limitation), there are also a myriad of technical events lined up! Ranging from Mechanics and Robotics to Code Wars, these are all set to complete your World 1-2 experience. So come, travel back in time, and compete amongst the Mario's and Pac-Men( We are still debating the existence of the plural of Pac-Man, btw)
