Every year, a National level technical symposium is hosted by the 6 Departments of SMKFIT.
La Recursivite is the technical symposium that is hosted by the IT department. We have an Association to maintain all our symposiums and other activities. Every year, La REcursivite takes up a particular cause and works towards spreading awareness about it.
As mentioned earlier, La Recursivite 2012 is a national level symposium in which the students of the IT department work together to host both technical and non-technical events. Technical events include paper presentation, Web Designing, Debugging etc. We will also be hosting a range of non-technical events, such as, gaming, treasure hunt, Short films and so on.
We the Association have the full gratification in motivating peace all over the country.
PAPER PRESENTATION
Every team has to register online for the competition. Maximum two authors per paper. However an author can send n-number of papers.
1. The abstract should be sent to http://larecursivite.weebly.com within the stipulated time (15th Feb 2010) along with the authors’ names and contact number (mandatory) and mail’s subject as Paiper Pyresentation.
2. If your paper is selected you will be intimated on 17th Feb 2012 through e-mail (from which we receive the post) then you must send us the hard copy (2 nos) and a soft copy (PowerPoint format) to our official address through courier/speed post. The materials should reach us on or before 15th feb 2012.
3. On the day of event participants must produce their identity cards issued by their respective institutions.
4. All presentations must be on MS PowerPoint only. All papers/abstracts must be inMicrosoft Word (compatibility mode) only.
6. The order of presentation shall be determined by lot.
7. You will be given 9 min (6 min for presentation & 3 for Q/A) for each paper. No extra time will be given. During the question period, questions may be asked by judges or by members of the audience.
8. The decision of the judges and event head shall be treated as final and binding on all.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF THE ABSTRACT & PAPER The short listing of the papers will be done based on the abstracts (at max 500 words) received so make sure that it’s precise and gives a good overview of your project. Don’t send your full paper as our mediators won’t have much time to go through the same. · If you intend to submit more than one entry, then please send their abstracts on separate sheets. They will then be treated as separate entries. · Titles may be in ARIAL BLACK of font size 11.· The font of the abstract and the paper (body) should be in the ‘Times New Roman’ or ‘Courier New’ font, of size 11 with 1.5 line spacing.
