CTS created World Record by recruiting 1820 in VIT in a single Campus

Cognizant (CTS) has made a world record number of 1,820 job offers at VIT University, Tamil Nadu, one of India’s best known technical education institutions.
“Cognizant’s 1,820 job offers made at VIT University this morning are the highest that any company, across industries, has made in a single campus across the country,” we have not heard of such a record even in other countries said Dr. G. Viswanathan, Chancellor, VIT University. This clearly reinforces what VIT University has always stood for—providing quality higher education on par with international standards.”

He said that it is heartening to note that for the last 5 years VIT has been consistently topping the campus recruitments at Slot one from single campus across the country [2008 Batch - 789 (TCS), 2009 Batch - 1075(TCS), 2010 Batch- 803 (TCS), 2011 Batch - 1643(Cognizant) & 2012 Batch – 1820 (Cognizant)].

Recalling the long association that VIT University has had with Cognizant, Dr. G Viswanathan said, “Cognizant and VIT University have been key partners in growth for well over a decade. In addition to recruiting students, Cognizant has driven and participated in many industry-academia linkage programs, including Faculty Development Programs and bridge programs for students to smoothly transition from the academic to the corporate life.”
“Specifically, Cognizant has helped VIT University pioneer an M. Tech. program in Software Development and Management for Cognizant employees—a first-of-its-kind program that marries technology with management. Cognizant and VIT University have jointly structured the syllabi and curricula, and designed the assessment modalities. This program has been a great success with over 200 students enrolling in the last two batches, creating newer benchmarks in industry-academia collaboration.”
